Frequency Asked Questions (FAQ)

What type of prints does Lightwall Prints offer?

At Lightwall Prints, we specialize in fine art printing, photographic reproductions, limited editions, and custom decorative projects. We work with museum grade certified papers and canvases, ensuring exceptional color accuracy and faithful reproduction of every artwork.

What printing technology is used for Fine Art printing?

Our Fine Art prints are produced using pigment-based aqueous inkjet technology, renowned for its exceptional color accuracy, durability, and detail precision.
We work with the Epson SureColor SC-P20500, equipped with 12 color cartridges, including orange, green, and violet, allowing us to reproduce a wide tonal range and subtle nuances essential for professional art and photography reproduction.
This technology ensures museum grade prints, with stable colors, deep blacks, and extraordinary definition, ideal for artists, photographers, and collectors seeking the highest Fine Art quality.

What printing materials do you offer?

At Lightwall Prints, we work with a curated selection of premium printing media, chosen for their durability, texture, and visual depth:

  • Hahnemühle Fine Art paper: 100 % cotton, acid free papers with matte, satin, or textured finishes. Perfect for paintings, watercolors, illustrations, and fine art photography.
  • Premium quality papers: a more economical option within our range, offering excellent print quality, tactile feel, and professional finish.
  • Canvas (artistic linen): natural texture and matte, satin, or metallic finish. Ideal for reproducing paintings or photographs with a more pictorial and warm appearance.
  • Acrylic panels: provide a modern, sharp, and vibrant look. Colors gain depth and contrast, perfect for contemporary photography.
  • Aluminum composite panels: rigid, elegant, and moisture-resistant support, highly valued in galleries and exhibitions.
  • Lightboxes: our exclusive illuminated lightboxes enhance contrast and color, giving each piece a vivid, ethereal, and three-dimensional effect.

Each material is selected according to the nature of the artwork and the desired visual outcome. All meet the highest conservation standards, ensuring exceptional quality and long-term durability.
Our team offers personalized guidance to help you find the best option for your project.

What are the maximum print sizes?

We can print up to 162 cm wide, with the length depending on the artwork and selected material. Some materials, such as aluminum or acrylic, have specific limitations based on format or thickness, but we can adapt to large-format projects without compromising quality or stability.

How can I request a quote?

We don’t work with a fixed price list since each artwork requires a unique combination of materials, sizes, and finishes.
However, we offer a wide range of options and budgets, always within fine art quality standards.
Simply send us the details of your project (type of work, size, material, and edition) and we’ll provide a personalized proposal.

Can I print my own artworks or photographs?

Yes. We collaborate with artists, photographers, and designers who wish to print their own editions or exhibitions. We guide you through the entire process, from paper selection to final color calibration, to ensure the result truly reflects your artistic vision.
Just send us your digital files, and we’ll advise you on the most suitable material, finish, and size.

What makes Lightwall Prints different from other print studios?

Our philosophy blends technical precision with artistic sensitivity. Each piece is individually printed and reviewed by fine art reproduction experts who carefully control color, finish, and packaging.
We combine state-of-the-art printing technology with a curatorial approach, paying attention to every detail of color, texture, and presentation.
We also maintain a close relationship with our clients, offering personalized guidance that turns each print into a collaborative experience.

Do you offer framing or mounting services?

Yes, we offer canvas stretching, gallery-quality framing, and custom mounting options on aluminum, acrylic, or wood. Every piece is delivered ready to hang or display.

How should I prepare my files before sending them?

We recommend TIFF or high-resolution JPEG files (minimum 150 dpi), using Adobe RGB or sRGB color profiles, at the actual print size. Our team will review your file and guide you before printing to ensure maximum fidelity to the original.

Do you offer color proofs or samples before printing?

Yes. We can produce a small color proof on the selected paper or material, especially useful for artists printing limited editions. This test allows adjustments in tones, contrast, and texture before the final print.

What is the estimated production time?

Standard print production time is 3 to 7 business days, depending on the material and chosen finishes. For large series or exhibition projects, we coordinate a customized production and delivery schedule.

Can I visit the studio or see samples before printing?

Yes. We love welcoming artists and design professionals who want to experience our materials and processes firsthand. You can book an appointment to visit our space and view samples of papers and finishes.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship throughout Europe and to other destinations upon request. Each artwork is carefully packaged to ensure its protection during transport.

Do you offer discounts for studios, galleries, or interior design projects?

Yes. We offer preferential conditions and professional pricing for recurring collaborators or volume projects. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with artists, galleries, and interior designers who value quality and aesthetic consistency. Contact us to receive a tailored proposal.

What does it mean to be a Hahnemühle “Gold” member?

As part of the Hahnemühle Excellence Program, our studio is certified as a Hahnemühle Certified Studio Gold. This distinction recognizes that we have successfully passed Hahnemühle’s official certification process, validating our expertise in Fine Art printing, color management, and quality consistency in every production.

Can I print images created with Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Our team can retouch, enhance, and correct details to make the artwork look natural and balanced. In addition, we use advanced software that allows us to resize the image to any desired dimensions without losing quality.
